Organic Yerba Mate - Loose Tea Leaves

Traditional Latin American beverage from the Rainforests of Southern Brazil

A light yellowish beverage that has the strength of coffee, the health benefits of tea and the euphoria of chocolate produced from the leaves of the holly tree of South American rainforests (ours is from Brazil). One would call it a herbal tea but it has the caffeine content of mild Arabica coffee. 

The flavour of brewed mate is strongly vegetal, herbal, and grassy, reminiscent of some varieties of green tea with hints of tobacco and oak.

How to enjoy this tea

Steep around 1.5 to 2 tsp of this green mate per cup for 5-6 mins in 75-85° C fresh water. Add sugar if you may, but do not add any milk.
