Premium Chinese Green Tea
White Monkey is a green tea made from the delicate leaves and buds of the tea leaf. The leaves are picked from late March to early April and carefully steamed and dried to create this flavourful tea.
This special tea originates from the Taimu Mountains in the Fujian province of China, which was considered the meeting point of the Gods according to Chinese mythology . The delicate dried leaves have a fine hair, which are said to resemble the paw of a white-haired monkey, hence the name. Due to the tea's appearance, flavour, and name, it is often mistaken for a white tea.
White Monkey tea upon infusing, yields a light yellowish brew that has a clean, sweet taste that appeals to serious green tea drinkers as well as makes it a fantastic introduction to premium green tea for newer tea drinkers. Floral notes and notes of fresh fruit along with a slight nuttiness are balanced with a classic green tea astringency and grassiness. A complex, lingering and remarkably refreshing aftertaste makes this tea incredibly easy to drink while providing the layers and depth that tea connoisseurs demand in a great green tea.
